The apartment on Cipriano Dourado Street was born of a gesture of affection: a father offering a home to his son. And when the client’s motto is “XPTO”, the approach almost defines itself.
Even so, restraint was a deliberate choice. Rather than piling on options or burdening the space with stylistic decisions, we invested in the quality of what is not seen at first glance but is felt in daily life: whirlpool baths, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, a kitchen fitted with Smeg—every detail conceived for someone who will live here with a certain level of expectation and with genuine pleasure.
In a project like this, detail is everything. And the only fully assumed decorative accent came, precisely, from the street name: gold. The kitchen sink, the tap, and the lines of the appliances became a golden thread that discreetly runs through the space, a good-humoured reference to the address, yet never excessive or flippant.
The truth is that this home does not shout what it cost; instead, it tells us it was made to last and to be lived in with taste—just as the father wanted.
