The house in São Domingos de Rana will remain in our memory, not only for the result, but for the journey. The greatest challenge of this project was neither technical nor design-related: it was logistical. The family continued to live in the house throughout the entire construction, which required careful organization, a work sequence planned down to the last detail and, above all, a great deal of patience on both sides. The solution was to proceed in phases. We began with the first bathroom and, only after it was completed and delivered, did we start on the next. The space was gradually returned to the family, without ever leaving the house completely inoperable. In parallel, the larger interventions—floor replacement and general painting—were fitted into available windows of opportunity, always taking care to minimize disruption to the daily life of those living there. It was not simple. It required coordination, flexibility and a relationship of trust with the clients that can only be built when there is transparency on both sides. In the end, everything went well. The house turned out as it should, the family never had to move out, and we learned that balance can be the focus of a project.
