We found this apartment vacant, darkened, and with a significant accumulation of waste. Despite this, there were clear signs of the home’s potential. Located on the ground floor, it featured a patio that deserved to once again be part of the daily life of its future residents.
From the beginning, the goal was to preserve its original features and respect the existing architectural language, intervening only where necessary to improve the comfort and functionality of the spaces.
We maintained the small-format finishes and opted for a neutral color palette, seeking a natural continuity with the building’s character. At the same time, we restored several original elements: the Lioz limestone chimney, the paneled wooden doors, the exterior window shutters, the parquet flooring, and the plaster crown moldings.
Technical solutions were integrated only when essential and in a discreet manner, such as the false ceiling in the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.
In the end, we enhanced what time had left us, simply restoring the light and dignity it deserved.
